The day had just began and it was rather nice. A window from her dorm in room one thirty-one shown through the little arrays of sun. The girl was excited when the sun shown through, spring and summer time were her favorite time of year. Though she loved fall fashion, but that was a different story. She walked over to her closet and settled on a outift she felt suited for the the weather. She opened the window to see if it would be nice enough to go without a jacket and then she decided to brink one just in case. She shut the window and closed the curtains she had up and then she went and switched everything to the purse she wished to use for the day. She had a lot of stuff and accesories were a must for her though she loved her clothes too. She was a girl she didn't need to explain it. She took her phone offthe charger and grabbed her room keys locking it on the way oiut.
Of course, her room was clean just in case a new roomate happened to move in while she was out and well at least they would know their roomate was a clean respectable person. Plus, maybe they'd like the fact that she was out. Maybe, they'd fomr the opinion she was fun. Summer bounced with each step. She was out to walk the campus. She had not seen the whole campus yet and she was rather excited. The education process had been particularly lovely and well electrifying for her. She adored this place and the people here because they were particularly lively just like herself. "Hello" she said waving to someone she passed as they smiled at her. Finally, she was outside and she felt the wind. It was a decent wind though and nothing to harsh. She would live. A hand wisked some hair out of her face as she walked around glancing left and right. She had her phone out taking random pictures to send to her friends and family back home. They would be jealous, but they were all so very proud and happy for her. It was just the start of the journey. It was merely a step in her road though she had a lot longer to go. Two more years at bouscher. Her previous school wasn't a boarding school or far away it was a private yet public school in los angeles, but Bouscher was a lot more respectable and the place where she would rather be.
Her eyes sparkled as her eyes rested on the lucella fountain. It was absolutely strinkingly amazingly beautiful! "Whoa." she caught herself saying it as she put a hand on her heart. A big smile crossed her face. The girl noticed she pry looked like a tourist or something so she walked over to the fountain looking at it. She would love to throw a penny in there and make a wish or something but that may be frownd upon so she just admired it up close in all its clower. "All you really need this time a year is a pair of glasses and this place right here and to sit somewhere near the water." she sang putting a spin on a country song she heard called water. She looked around seeing a boy near the fountain and grinned. Walking over she kind of slid next to him. "They have guys at this school?" she joked acting like she was in utter shock. Either he would think she was really weird or go along with it. It really couldn't hurt.

Johnny Von Matterhorn was in a very clean mood. He just wanted to go out there, talk to people, possibly make more friends, and most of all, just relax. He went to the closet, put on a white full sleeved t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans and his favorite Louis vuitton black sneakers. He sat on the edge of his bed as he tied his shoelaces. Out of the corner of his eye, he found that his iPhone was lying next to him a few inches away, lighting up with excitement. A text. Who would it be? He took the phone, and with a few touches he was reading a text by Alex Morgan. It was a dumb blond joke Johnny chuckled at. He took the phone and pocketed it whilst looking around for his wrist watch. He found it right beside the pillow sitting atop a small, hard cover book – The Hardy Boys Casefiles #1: Dead on Target. He slapped the watch on his left wrist and walked out of his room, locking the door when outside.
It felt like a nice, cool fall morning. He had forgotten a few things; mainly his backpack. He returned back to his room, found his backpack on the floor right next to the bed, waiting to be picked up. Johnny skipped towards his bed quickly, picked up the backpack, opened the zipper and looked at the contents inside. Two books, two small bottles of orange flavored Tropicana, and that was it. He was on his way to study Russian, as queer as it sounded. But then again, he was never the kind of guy who would do things for the first time. He needed a lot of push and pressure to do anything. So he walked out of his room again, down the narrow hallway of the Juniper Residence Hall and made his way out of the building. He walked in the direction towards the north quad where he would procrastinate for a while, hopefully relax and whatnot. He felt the wind as he exited the building; nothing too harsh, just the cool wind he loved.
With the backpack slinging over his right shoulder only, he walked around, bobbing his head randomly, cheerfully and smiling at just about everyone passing him by. He occasionally switched to the ‘what’s up?’ nod at some of the fourth year dudes in the academy. They looked pretty harmless as far as he was concerned. The cool air gave him a sort of adrenaline rush and a look at the sky instantly got him all high and excited. The North Quad area was home to many of those who liked to hang out inside the campus and it wasn’t such a bad place after all. He saw quite a few people with their acoustic guitars sitting on the lawn, hoping to find some sort of inspiration and he regretting not getting his guitar. Although he was a little inclined towards the electric guitar, he fancied expensive Gibson acoustics. He walked further around until he spotted the Lucella Fountain. What an amazing sight it was! He would never miss a chance to photograph things like these. He rushed to the fountain, set his foot on the raised circumference of the fountain and let his bag take the support of his leg while he searched for his camera in the backpack.
After a few seconds’ looking around, he couldn’t find the camera. Johnny always had a knack for forgetting where he kept things and he didn’t like it, but then again, he couldn’t help it. His eidetic memory only worked for things he saw long back. However, he got his iPhone out of his pockets and started taking pictures from different angles, perspective and whatnot. He put the phone back in his pockets and took time to take in the beautifulness of the fountain. He admired the classic, extravagant fountain. The next second, a pretty brunette walked over next to him. "They have guys at this school?" she joked acting like she was in utter shock. Johnny smiled, looking at the girl in the eye. She wore a brown leather jacket, a pair of blue skinny jeans, over the knee heel boots and tinted sunglasses. She was right; there were not a lot of guys in the school. Johnny’s smile faded; he now looked seriously at her and said, “Or do they?” After a few more seconds’ seriousness, he broke out into laughter! “My name is Johnny. Johnny Von Matterhorn. Second year, major in awesomeness, minor in… Damn, I’m out,” he confessed. Maybe I suffer Can’t Remember Shit Syndrome, he thought, as he looked at her, embarrassed.

the journey out onto the north end of the campus wasn't that far from juniper hall, but it had been enough for her to go out of her way for random hello's. some people weren't as appreciative and others were rather warming making her feel ten times better about herself. she couldn't go a day with out well talking. the shy people well that was their thing, but she just couldn't do it. someone would have to wire this girls jaw shut sooner or later in life. maybe her future husband if he was moved to do so. she never really flapped her jaw in a negative sense though. sure every girl gossiped here and there it was natural, but the thing was summer was a really just intelligents, sweet loving, outgoing, and energetic person. she didnt really like to see the bad in people and she herself really didn't see the bad in many situations. the girl loved herself a big adventure and well at the school she was on the biggest one of all. everyone here could imagine, but well they really couldn't it was one of those weird notion she would never wish to explain.
on the way out here she listened to people strumming their guitars on the lawn and occasionally she would kind of sway to the music giving a thumbs up at the people she passed. encouragment at this place was a good thing even though one must stay focused and disciplined. an upbeat attitude never killed anyone though. well, not that she knew of or wish to know of. once at the fountain after awhile took some pictures before she had moved over johnny's direction. the brunette watched as he sort of observed her and that questioned her question. her expression stayed nuetral as she looked him up and down just to add her suspiscions to the matter before smiling. "i've seen very few of them, but you know you looked like you could clear it up for me." she said with a nod. she heard the name and nodded. "yes defintely a guy and even your voice cleare it up for me." she said and let out a small snicker at her words. she intently listened to his major and minor and shook her head some. "i don't believe i've heard of those...they sound interesting new additions?" she asked raising an eyebrow. though he had kind of butchered his mionr she eneded up giving it to him, because well it hadn't been that long and she was already estatic about her choice to come 'bother' him. his personality was rich and lively just like hers. that always set up for a very good combination.
"im summer lima, and im majoring in the art of deception and my minor would be undeclared because im very ambitious." she admitted. summer didn't really declare a minor though she should her second choice would be music, but well she just really wanted to be an actress. both had audiences..well every form of art had an audience, but she just loved the thrill of taking on a role. that would become more apparent if it already hadn't to johnny. "my real major is theatre" she said clearing it up. she noticed his backpack she didn't need a book for the class coming up. well, she had her book just in case they were studying about musical theatre, but it was a little bit more active then that. they actually got up and sang different notes and pitches practicing projecting and how to manage yourself a bit more. they also worked on plays with music in there it was just awesome. "oh im also a second year" she said remembering the last bit of the conversation or the first bit it just slipped her mind to mention in it. "so johnny the one and only guy i've talked to in school so far what class are you headed to before you got distracted by my amazing looks and such?" she joked as she looked towards the fountain. she was still in aw over it. she was in love with this place more and more by the moment! the people, the sites, the school itself...she would just stay here for the rest of her life and move hollywood within a good distance for her if it was possible, but sense it wasn't she got to enjoy two more years at this beautiful place, so there was no complaints there.

"i've seen very few of them, but you know you looked like you could clear it up for me." she said with a nod. she heard the name and nodded. "yes defintely a guy and even your voice cleared it up for me." she said and let out a small snicker at her words. Johnny ignored that little cover laugh although he had half a mind to shout, ‘RUDE!’ Instead, he just voted to let it go. she intently listened to his major and minor and shook her head some. "i don't believe i've heard of those...they sound interesting new additions?" Johnny had no idea what to say this one. He just let his mind do the work. “No, they’re not new,” Johnny confirmed, “They’re only available to those who are… you know,” he said, looking at her for a second, and then added with his odd, sexy voice, “awesome.” He suddenly realized, that wasn’t awesome at all. In fact, it was very, very lame. Why did I do it? He asked himself.
"im summer lima, and im majoring in the art of deception and my minor would be undeclared because im very ambitious." The girl introduced herself. Did no one talk American in here? He was surprised at the use of the word undeclared. What were people trying to prove here? Sure, there were a lot of Europeans here. Were the girls here trying to score by talking weirdly? The last girl he had run into said something about blemish, or some other strange word. Anyway, it was a good sign that Summer said she was majoring in the art of deception. It was a very good sign, indeed. But there was one thumbs down about it – she didn’t smile that much, or joked around that much. “Who doesn’t like a pretty, ambitious girl? I know I do,” he said, his lips curving into a grin, “But isn’t there something you want to do side by side, you know, as an alternative, or something? Just to kill time, you know? Like lockpicking? Hotwiring?” Johnny could have suggested some more activities, but he didn’t feel like it, yet.
“My real major is theatre,” Summer said, and Johnny understood it was time to get all factual. What she said before kind of made sense; acting and art of deception. “Oh, an aspiring La La Land candidate,” Johnny observed, nodding in appreciation, “My real major is music. I play the guitar. And my minor is photography.” Johnny was wondering what year she was in, and as an answer to his question, she said she was in second year, too. That brought a smile to his face, although it really didn’t matter what year she was in. But it was good to have a friend in the same year as his since he was new to the whole island. "so johnny the one and only guy i've talked to in school so far what class are you headed to before you got distracted by my amazing looks and such?" she joked as she looked towards the fountain. Wow, he did not see that one coming. She looked pretty known and popular around the school, or at least that was what he thought. He also deducted that she would soon be very popular in the school, for reasons unknown. It was just one of those strongest gut feelings you know is right.
“Oh, nowhere,” Johnny said, leveling a sideway glance at her. He then turned towards her, put his hands into his jeans pockets and spoke, “I was actually going to study and now that I’m distracted by your gorgeously amazing looks, I will have to study later. How often do you meet really pretty girls in a really strange island, on the first day of a new boarding school?” It was true; how often do you get a chance like that? Of course, he wasn’t talking about scoring or anything, but ‘the one and only guy I’ve talked to in school so far’? That was pretty neat. He had a feeling they’d become great friends, and he was glad Summer was beginning to joke around. “Hey, can I, uh, get your phone number or something?” Johnny asked, unsure of what she would say. She’d probably think he was hitting on her, but Johnny would know how to say he wasn’t. “And a photo of you, too,” Johnny said, lowering his voice a little, “For a photography class and also for my phone contact list; it looks good with pictures. We’re doing a class on taking pictures of beautiful things and I figured, there’s you and the fountain. And also, a picture of us together, maybe? Posing cheek to cheek?”

Somtimes, Summer did and said things without thinking that they were rude. The girl though deeper on it and she could tell what she had said about his looks and his voice had made her change her mind. That was not what she meant at all. He had let it go, but that ws so not like her well it was like her she did shit without thinking and ended up feeling guilt. "Hey, I'm sorry I wasn't implying you looked like a girl or anything. It came out kind of rude and I didn't mean to it was a joke and I thought about it and and yeah okay im rambling." she said and laughed uneasily. His body language had said a lot about how he felt when she said that, but well she couldnt' read his mind or anything so she didn't know how muchof an effect it had on her. Until he began to talk again the girl chewed on the inside of her cheek uneasily. That was one of her bad habits. She couldn't help but smile when he said that it wasn't a new adddition it was merely just for awesome people. "Sounds about right." she said winking inhis direction. He did seem pretty awesome she had to admit though she barely knew him at the moment he was friendly and he had a pretty cute smile and a rather sexy voice that was always a plus towards being awesome. "I fall short just a bit, but maybe you can teach me?" she asked not flirting, but keeping up his little made up majors. They were non existent and not the most clever things to come up with but the attempt was what had mattered.
She knew it was weird to many people about her not choosing something else to do beside her major. She might end up attempting to do the whole music thing, but she well she could do that on her own if she wanted. You just really had to be want to be discovered. Sure, it was wonderful to have the education behind you when you were trying to make it, but she was sure that if someone heard the way she could sing they would try and discover her. Sure, the same went for acting, but there was more to it then that. She smirked a little bit when he said he liked and ambitious girl. "i guess it can be a little ruthless.." she said putting a finger to her chin. "you do do you?" she asked in a joking tone batting her eye lashes. for the most part she was never really serious unless it came to her classes or carreer. she kept it there pondering on his suggestions. "i think if i had to chose an act i would pry chose hotwiring...im a little rusty at it lockpicking is something that i picked up at a young age." she said answering his question. "do you know who teaches that?" she asked as if she was serious in his direction.
Music was a wonderufl thing. It made Summer's world go around most times. There was nothing like listening to a hit song or one in the making. They all told a story. Some made you wish to sing along, some made you want to dance, some made you happy, and some made you want to cry. In her opinion it was one of the best damn things ever created on this planet and so original. Yeah, he was awesome he was right. "I have a new addition to may statement you have to be the only yet coolest guy that I have yet to talk too" she said smiling his way. Yeah, now she couldnt stop smiling. Her jaw would hurt later, but it wasn't like she wasnt use to it. Most times you could not catch the girl with out a smile or being completely random. "Do you do more solo work or do you like working with a band?" she asked him curiously. Of course, she wanted to hear something, but well he didn't have a guitar with him and she dind't want to sound like a complete giddy loser. Her mind was pleading with her though to ask him to sing? Then who was to say he sung he said he played quitar he never said anything about singing. Maybe, then the whole solo work was kind of stupid and a pointless question, but thenit would answer her when she wanted to know if he sang or something...
"Nowhere's cool." she said with a shrug having felt noisy or something for having asked now. Maybe, he was going to go get away and then she popped up, but if he was in a rush then he ould pry have said something? No? She laughed a little bit, because she did figure that sounded concited. She was just kidding. She really didn't think she was that pretty or anything, but she knew she wasn't ugly. She wasn't the type of girl to over do it. "i know its like so rare." she joked playfully shaking her head. "Im sorry was it a really important study session I could let you go if you'd like." she said being nice as she slid her hands into her leather jacket. then he asked her for her phone number and she grinned a little bit, so he totally did not hate her! that was a good sign. well of course he didn't hate her, but she hadn't been the nicest. "yeah sure give me your phone ill put it in." she said taking out a hand from her pocket. it may be nice to get numbers when she met people from now on because well then she wouldn't have to go searching for dorms and feelling like a stalker. then he asked if he could take pictures of her for his contact list and shrugged. "yeah, fair warning though i make the funniest faces and well the iphone can only handle so much" she said remembering that the two had the same phone. she had caught him taking pictures as well. his suggestion was cute that the two of them take a picture together. it made her feel extra happy. "really you want a picture with little ol' me?" she asked holding a hand over her heart like she was in shock again. it was merely a joke. she just nodded to answer his questtion and waited for direction from the photography minor. "though if you take pictures of me maybe you can show me some of your other pictures sometimes..a little bit of a trade?" she asked not sure how it was indeed a trade, but it worked out well in her mind somehow.

"Hey, I'm sorry I wasn't implying you looked like a girl or anything. It came out kind of rude and I didn't mean to it was a joke and I thought about it and and yeah okay im rambling." she said and laughed uneasily. Johnny just nodded his head left to right, as if he were saying, That’s okay, I get that a lot. It wasn’t something Johnny expected to apologize for; people twist their words around, misquote their phrases sometime and say things they don’t actually mean. That was all right; he got it. Johnny then looked at her as she went on, telling that it was just a joke and she thought about it. He broke into a soft, hearty laughter. Normally, based on his bizarre observation, most of the times, the things guys said to girls made guys feel like crap, but this was something new! He paused laughing to say, “That’s totally cool, I get it. Don’t sweat it.”
"i don't believe i've heard of those...they sound interesting new additions?” Summer asked, raising an eyebrow when Johnny said he was majoring in awesomeness. He was glad that Summer didn’t talk anything about his minor; he’d failed to get a cool adjective for a minor. Johnny replied that it was open to people who were ‘awesome’, with a sexy voice, as if he was being bit a rabid Chihuahua. At that note, Summer’s lips curved into a smile. "Sounds about right." she said winking in his direction. Johnny lifted his hands in the air, posed cockily for a second and said, “Guilty.” He lost the cocky stances quickly and put his hands quickly back into his pockets, realizing how lame he had been for the past couple of minutes. "I fall short just a bit, but maybe you can teach me?" Johnny quickly turned to her direction and looked at her; from what he saw, she didn’t need tutoring at all. She was both pretty and nice, and it was quite a good package. The main, basic requirements for being awesome, perhaps.
“Are you kidding me, Summer?” Johnny said, surprised, “You don’t look like you fall short at all. But if you still need someone, I’m here for you. Think of me like Yoda, but instead of being little and green I look good and I'm awesome. I'm your bro—I'm Broda!” He felt triumphant after successfully quoting Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother, one of his favorite TV shows of all time. Johnny loved making references, quoting characters and whatnot, although some of the times, people would never get his references, or jokes, for that matter. That triumphant feeling he was experiencing – it didn’t occur to him that often. He would often end up misquoting certain phrases, for worse.
And then the topic switched to majors and minors when Johnny revealed his true major and minor; the former being music and the latter, photography. Johnny’s world revolved around music, mostly around the sixties, eighties and nineties music. He made some exception to the two thousands music, but he believed that the industry went down to crap when crackheads like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and other crazy, whining bitches took over. It wasn’t the same anymore, and oh, how he wished he was born in the eighties. And as to photography, he loved to take pictures almost as much as he loved music. He liked to take pictures of anything that appeared intriguing to him and often took pictures of his guitars, a black Gibson Les Paul Studio and a sunburst Gibson Les Paul 1957. He learned that Summer majored in theatre, and there were a lot of chances that they could meet in the future, probably in tinsel town. And he also learned that Summer did not have a minor; now that was something Johnny did not think about. Although he loved photography and everything, like Summer, he wanted to concentrate towards music and only music. He wasn’t, however, informed that minor was option. It was almost a win-win situation, with a minor drawback that he couldn’t focus completely on music. But he got to do what he loved and that’s all that really mattered.
Johnny questioned Summer as to why she didn’t go for a minor. He learned that she was very ambitious towards attaining success in the field of theatre. He told her that he liked pretty, ambitious girls. "i guess it can be a little ruthless.." she said putting a finger to her chin. "you do do you?" she asked in a joking tone batting her eye lashes. Johnny replied with a wide smile, “Totally, sweety!” And then Johnny suggested some… let’s say, inappropriate activities for Summer to choose from. "i think if i had to chose an act i would pry chose hotwiring...im a little rusty at it lockpicking is something that i picked up at a young age." she said answering his question. "do you know who teaches that?"Johnny was surprised; he couldn’t tell if she was lying, or if she was totally being serious, or if it was mere sarcasm. Just for confirmation, Johnny said, “For real? You picked up lockpicking at a young age and you’re rusty at it? How sure are we that we’re destined to meet each other?” A slight grin worked it’s way over Johnny’s face as he finished speaking about the topic.
"I have a new addition to my statement you have to be the only yet coolest guy that I have yet to talk too" she said smiling his way. Johnny let out a soft chuckle escape from his lips and smiled back. Lifting his right hand with his index finger pointed out at Summer, he agreed, “Word.” Now there was hoping he wasn’t too cocky or arrogant. "Do you do more solo work or do you like working with a band?" she asked him out of curiosity. Johnny loved people when they talked about his line of work, his thing, his world that he would soon rule over – music. And this was one of his favorite questions he hoped somebody would ask him one day. That day had come. “To answer this question, Summer,” Johnny began, taking his hands out of his pockets, “We’ll have to go deep into different topics in music. You see, sometimes when you’re in a band, things don’t work out as you thought it would. The last time I was in a band back in Santa Barbara, I was the lead axe man and I also took some verses, or bridges, and backed the lead singer up on vocals sometimes. Inspiration hit me this one time I was out at the beach, I wrote a guitar riff, followed up on and even did the solo and everything. But the band I was in focused on pop rock, which is so not cool because I hate pop. My thing is hard rock, y’know, the eighties, AC/DC, Deep Purple. There are no barriers as to my genres, but pop? I mean, come on, that would be an insult to me and my guitar. So I quit the band without hesitation. Well, the answer to your question is, I’m doing more solo work at the moment although I love working with a band.”
Speaking so much about his line of passion now, Johnny was curious about Summer. “What about you? By theatre, do you mean the operas or musicals? Or, or, the Hollywood, tinsel town stuff? What are your favorite kinds of movies? I mean, the genres?” Looking back at what he had said about his solo stuff, he hoped he didn’t bore her, or something. He tried to look at it as artists talking; well, that was a pretty good way to look at it. And then the topic changed. "so johnny the one and only guy i've talked to in school so far what class are you headed to before you got distracted by my amazing looks and such?" she joked as she looked towards the fountain. “Oh, nowhere,” he had answered. "Nowhere's cool." she said with a shrug. Johnny observed her laughing out of the corner of his eyes; she probably thought he was about to leave and wondered if she stopped him, or something that girls often worried about as far as he knew. “I was actually going to study and now that I’m distracted by your gorgeously amazing looks, I will have to study later. How often do you meet really pretty girls in a really strange island, on the first day of a new boarding school?” He said. "i know its like so rare." she joked playfully shaking her head. "Im sorry was it a really important study session I could let you go if you'd like."
“Let me go? What, are you crazy? Don’t ever do that,” Johnny warned, his words full of surprising reactions. He wasn’t a huge fan when people said ‘am I disturbing you?’, or ‘do you want to go?’. Well, if he really had to go, he would have said toodles already. then he asked her for her phone number and she grinned a little bit. "yeah sure give me your phone ill put it in." she said taking out a hand from her pocket. That was a good sign of friendship; maybe now Summer wouldn’t feel like ignoring Johnny in the future. Johnny pulled his black iPhone 4 out of his jeans pocket and handed it over to Summer. then he asked if he could take pictures of her for his contact list and shrugged. "yeah, fair warning though i make the funniest faces and well the iphone can only handle so much" she said. Johnny heard that iPhone comment. Well, he loved iPhones and Apple and believed that no smartphone whatsoever could compete with it, let alone beat it. Johnny didn’t speak, yet. And then he proposed the idea of the two of them taking a picture together. Of course, first, he had to take her picture, solo. "really you want a picture with little ol' me?" she asked holding a hand over her heart like she was in shock again. “Wait, who doesn’t?” Johnny replied, grinning. He softly took his iPhone from her as she finished signing up in his contact list. With a touch on the home page, Johnny held his iPhone a distance away from her and examined the lighting and perspective. The picture he would take was perfect, and then it reminded him of a song by Lady Antebellum, ‘Need You Now’. He just ignored the thought, took a quick picture without the flash, of course, and took a position next to her. "though if you take pictures of me maybe you can show me some of your other pictures sometimes..a little bit of a trade?" she asked.
“All right,” Johnny said, “It’s a deal. Now, don’t freak out; I’m just coming closer.” He gave her a warning; he didn’t want her to freak out and make others think as if he were doing inappropriate things – hey, there were a lot of people who misinterpreted things. He was beside her, standing on her left side, and put his right arm over her shoulder. “Is that cool?” he asked doubtfully, ready to take his arm off if she thought it wasn’t. “All right now; cheek time,” he said, pulling his face parallel to hers, his right cheek in contact with her left cheek. Thank God he bathed cleanly and thank god for the after shower and deodorant soaps that did not make him stink. “You ready? Just make your weird face and we’re good to go,” he instructed her, making Dwayne Johnson’s signature eye-brow raise and waiting for Summer.

Its cool don't sweat it." she nodded a little bit tucking said flipping some loose hair back behind her head. She really did feel really crappy about it and well it was in the past and he said that it was okay or whatever so she was just going to let it go. She looked at the fountain and just smiled for a moment. Summer was at a loss for word? She was never at a loss for words! She had a big mouth!"Would you be interested in swimming...in there I'll only charge you a penny and I'll take pictures of you and you can actl like a total badass not that you're not, but it'll be a story to tell." she said thinking up something random. Like no one had ever thought of that before or attempted it, but that was her cool thought for the moment and she was just speaking her mind. She figured it would get her a really odd stare or a chuckle or something like that.
The whole stance was very cute. She couldn't help but laugh at him or with him just a little bit even though he wasn't laughing. He was trying to be amusing. His personality was just awesome. The girl was pretty much in love with it cheesy or not. Guilty". She ended up smirking at it. "Yeah I know you are I'm the one charging you." she said tilting her head to the side to the side at his stance. She just shook her head a little bit though she thought being cocky sometimes was cool. Though she couldn't stand it all the time. Summer would end up getting pissed off if it got serious and possible kicking some arrogant asshole ass. Though he wasn't arrogant at all he was merely kidding. Her brow quirked again as he looked at her and checked her out wondering what he was up to.
"I got jokes." she said shifting her weight. Though, she was just kidding. She smiled when he quoted Barney Sinson from How I Met Your Mother. "Phone five Broda?!" she asked him, so he kne whs knew wat he was talking about. Yeah, that show was hilarious! Barney was legendary. Summer would more then likely be picking up on his quotes and throwing some back is way from time to time. It brought about a sense of entertainment. He sounded very proud of it and it was rather clever she hadn't seen that one coming at all. "Very nice very nice." she said with a nod.
Summer could not imagine her life without acting. A lot of people kind of doubted her and said that she would probably end up waiting tables as she waited on her big break. That could be true or that could be false. She didn't want it to be true at all and very much so wanted to make it false. Something about it was very invergorating. Maybe, it was taking on another role other then being herself and being able to kind of learn from certain parts. Sure a movie wasn't reality, but she was in love with roles that were real. Science fiction, monsters, cartoons, those type of things were not for Summer. Being able to depict something that someone could connect with was what she wa thriving for in the acting business. It was like the music and that of the best kind lyrics that spoke to people. She was a fan of really any kind of music, but she didn't like the false, repitious, self-absorbed stuff..she could listen to it and dance to it, butshe didn't think artists nowadays didn't really have it right. They copied a lot of material and most of the music sounded the same. Movies were kind of the same way, but she was hoping there would be a better boom and she would be able to blossom a talented actress one she could call talented.
Summer hadn't always been so humorous and bubbly. All teens had their rebellious side and well she had hers. In Los Angeles, there was a lot of crimes going on. No one really noticed her lockpicking epedemic. She would go in and take some cash sometimes too, but she had never been caught and eventually gave it up because the rush just wasn't worth it anymore. That was like four years ago though. When she was in junior high school. The age for that type of thing kept getting younger and younger, but hey it wasn't illegal cause she hadn't gotten caught. That was her theory. "Yeah, I learned to pick locks when I was nine didn't start using it till I was thirteen though." she said and bit her lip. That sounded pretty bad. "Hotwiring is what I need a tune up on...my brother always tried to teach me, but it was a lot harder then it looked for me." she said with a shrug. He seemed like it was so cool. Maybe, he hadn't met a girl that could do these things? Summer could surprise many different people she was one of those kind of people with sort of hidden talents? Though, she was pretty open about them. She just didn't lit all her talents at what time. Though she knew it was like a calling or something. A criminal calling, and her thoughts only made her chuckle.
Word that sounded like she was back home or something. Where had he said he was from? Or had he said where he was from? Either way sure many teens said that, but in Cali she heard it all the time. "Word" she said winking at him and pointing back like she was holding a gun at him, but it was just something she did. Then she watched as he lit up when she spoke of music. That was the feelin she got when someone talked to her about acting or when she thought about it. The girl had a look of intent as he said they'd have to go deep into his music logic in order for him to answer. She was a good listener. Plus, she was interested in what he had to say. Santa Barbara! he was not far away from her at all in distance. A couple hours. That made her smile more even though he was talking about his bad experience with being in a band. She could respect his passion and sense he was a guitar player and well he seemed like he had a lot to offer. He would make it big. It was just a gut feeling she had. "Well, they suck." she said thinking about the band kind of shutting out his skills for pop. ACDC and deep purple were really good inspiration for some sweet ass rock music. "So, you're going to play for me too?" she asked batting her lashes again wanting to hear solo work now that he was talking about. Of course, she was going ask that question anyways, but she was even more excited more in her own little cheesy way.
After, awhile he started asking her questions about her acting carreer. She lit up as well. "Well I wouldn't mind doing musicals or broadway or anything, but yeah tinsel town." she said using his word. "Its near my hometown so I kind of grew up around it and love it there." she said speaking of hollywood itself. When he asked about her favorite kindof movies..well genre's she kind of shrugged. "I guess, suspense movies would be something I'd want to do, butI just prefer to like make movies based on something real that speaks to people." she said getting serious about it. "I don't mind the whole star wars, harry potter, twilight bits, some of those movies can be really cool, but its just not my thing." she said shaking her head. "My favorite movies have to be the eighty's movies." she said talking about classics like the Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink..and more those were typical answers, but she really did love those movies because they depicted a sense of reality. "I want to use my acting carreer to articulate to people, besides the fact that its just my calling."
"You're right that was a stupid question..your mine" she said letting a sly grin slide across her face, becaue well it made things more interesting. He handed her his phone it looked like hers minus the cover. It was the best phone out there capable of so much! She typed in her name and number and then handed him his phone back. This guy was well rather attractive, but something Summer really didn't do was date let alone people that were like her. She liked sweet guys, but at the same time she had a thing for assholes. That didn't go well with her last relationship though which was why she didn't date, so this was merely a really friendly type greeting. Who doesn't. Her grin turned into a smile. That was sweet though she figured it was pry meant sarcastically. She didn't answer it though, because she didn't want to sound concieted. Her wind blew slightly in the wind not realizing he had taken a picture she just figured he was checking the lighting and would warn her when he was going to take a picture of her. Though, either way she was sure it would be good. He was into photography.
The play by play as he came closer to her only made her giggle and the anticipation of it kind of made her a little nervous because he didn't have to warn her. She wasn't going to like freak out on him or anything. He was a little gentlemen when he asked if that was okay his arm being aroud her. ''Yeah, its fine no worries." she said assuring him. As there cheeks touched she couldn't help but think about how warm he kind of was in the midst of this small breeze that was slowly making her cold. He also smelt really good, but she wasn't going to randomly say that. Summer glanced out of the corner of her eye at his look. His was way cooler then her funny look, so she just stuck out her tongue at his camrea really quickly after saying "Go for it". “You ready? so it wasn't that weird, but hey it was something.

“Its cool don't sweat it." she nodded a little bit tucking said flipping some loose hair back behind her head. She looked at the fountain and just smiled for a moment. "Would you be interested in swimming...in there I'll only charge you a penny and I'll take pictures of you and you can actl like a total badass not that you're not, but it'll be a story to tell." she said thinking up something random. Johnny took quite some time to react to that. His lips curved into a smile, or more of a nasty grin. He tilted his head for a moment, as if he were thinking about, actually considering it. He let out a soft ‘hmm’ escape from his lips, as if he realized something all of a sudden. “Swimming,” he said, thinking about it again with a nod, “That would mean exposing my perfectly ripped muscles and eight packs… Well, I certainly don’t want all the girls in north quad to be gathered around the fountain here, y’know? Who doesn’t love a muscular badass these days?” It was true; he had eight pack abs, which was the result of a lot of effort, determination and hard work put in when he was working out.
Johnny kidded around that he was majoring in awesomeness and stated that these were open to people who were born awesome, bringing up a smile on Summer’s face. “That sounds about right,” she’d said. The whole stance was very cute. She couldn't help but laugh at him or with him just a little. “Guilty,” She ended up smirking at it. "Yeah I know you are I'm the one charging you." she said tilting her head to the side to the side at his stance. She just shook her head a little bit though she thought being cocky sometimes was cool. Though he wasn't arrogant at all he was merely kidding. Her brow quirked again as he looked at her and checked her out wondering what he was up to.
Summer said something about running short of awesomeness and needing some help in the field – something that took Johnny by surprise.
"I got jokes." she said shifting her weight. Though, she was just kidding. She smiled when he quoted Barney Sinson from How I Met Your Mother. "Phone five Broda?!" she asked him, so she knew what he was talking about. Ah, swell, Johnny thought, another CBS watcher. However, he was confused with the phone five part – he didn’t get it, but he knew that Summer, too, watched one of his favorite TV shows. He sounded very proud of it and it was rather clever she hadn't seen that one coming at all. "Very nice very nice." she said with a nod. Johnny let out yet another soft chuckle but said nothing. He was glad he met a person with similar likes.
And then, Johnny felt the change of topics from a CBS sitcom to majors and minors, and ‘life’ was probably next in line. As far as he was concerned, he loved his major and minor. He also felt that Summer had made a very good decision in being focused towards acting and only acting, for she was very ambitious. ‘Who doesn’t like a pretty, ambitious girl? I know I do,’ Johnny remembered saying, to which Summer replied, ‘You do, do you?’. “Totally, sweety!” Johnny confirmed and suggested a few inappropriate, illegal activities; lockpicking and hotwiring to name a few. And then came the real shocker. "i think if i had to chose an act i would pry chose hotwiring...im a little rusty at it lockpicking is something that i picked up at a young age." she said answering his question. Who could’ve thought that such a pretty girl knew how to pick locks? Appearances can be deceiving, for sure. He now agreed on the statement completely, without further thoughts. Johnny asked, unsure if she was just kidding, “For real? You picked up lockpicking at a young age and you’re rusty at it? How sure are we that we’re destined to meet each other?” Either way, it sounded really cool, and it was a major turn on for Johnny if he found out a girl could do that. He absolutely did not see that coming, at all.
Johnny was more than thrilled! He loved the whole concept of picking locks and hotwiring vehicles, although he never saw the ‘darker’, ‘illegal’ side of it. He believed that it was a victimless crime, and his purposes of use were very limited. He liked to see himself as Dexter Morgan, a character from the show Dexter, minus the Code of Harry. Johnny had his set of rules and beliefs he followed while using his knowledge of lock picking; never steal anything unless it’s very important and also, never leave a trace unless intended too. He didn’t get together with other lock pickers at convections, shared ideas or thoughts with them, but it was good that he met someone who knew stuff. From where he was, he didn’t need to learn lock picking or hot wiring but he had a knack of getting into abandoned house. “Things are lot harder than they seem,” Johnny said casually. “So what forced you?” he asked. From what he knew, people in areas where crime rates were high needed to be street smart, especially teens.
"I have a new addition to my statement you have to be the only yet coolest guy that I have yet to talk too" she said smiling his way. Johnny let out a soft chuckle escape from his lips and smiled back. Lifting his right hand with his index finger pointed out at Summer, he agreed, “Word.” "Word" she said winking at him and pointing back like she was holding a gun at him, but it was just something she did. Then she watched as he lit up when she spoke of music. Johnny felt the topic in the conversation drifting to his line of work: music. "Well, they suck." she said thinking about the band kind of shutting out his skills for pop. Johnny nodded in agreement; there was nothing more he hated than pop music. “So, you're going to play for me too?" she asked batting her lashes again wanting to hear solo work now that he was talking about. Johnny kind of liked it when girls batted their eye lashes, for reasons unknown. And as of her question, he answered, “Oh, yeah, there’s this new stuff I’m working on the acoustic guitar.” The last electric stuff he worked on was based on shredding and it wasn’t hard to figure girls didn’t fancy that kind of music, so he went with the acoustic.
When he asked about her favorite kind of movies..well genre's she kind of shrugged. "I guess, suspense movies would be something I'd want to do, but I just prefer to like make movies based on something real that speaks to people." she said getting serious about it. "I don't mind the whole star wars, harry potter, twilight bits, some of those movies can be really cool, but it’s just not my thing." she said shaking her head. "My favorite movies have to be the eighty's movies." she said talking about classics like the Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink..and more those were typical answers, but she really did love those movies because they depicted a sense of reality. "I want to use my acting carreer to articulate to people, besides the fact that its just my calling." Johnny loved the eighties era; everything – music, movies, culture, you name it. The first thing that popped into his mind was Breakfast Club, an eighties movie he really liked and often heard of in new TV shows. “But you gotta be careful in tinsel town, y’know,” Johnny advised, “All the drama and stuff. Most of them in the industry are prosthetic heads; fake boobs, fake tan, fake skin. I have zero respect for those kind of people, and I sure as hell hope you don’t get suckered into it, Summer. You seem awfully nice for Tinsel Town, I mean it.” It was the first time Johnny had gotten serious in the conversation.
"You're right that was a stupid question..your mine" she said letting a sly grin slide across her face, because well it made things more interesting. He handed her his iPhone. She typed in her name and number and then handed him his phone back. Johnny observed how quickly she was able to handle the iPhone and concluded that she owned an iphone too. There were chances. When Johnny suggested that he take a picture with her, Summer acted surprised and joked, ‘Wait, do you want to take a picture with me?’ “Who doesn't.” Her grin turned into a smile. Her wind blew slightly in the wind not realizing he had taken a picture she just figured he was checking the lighting and would warn her when he was going to take a picture of her. Though, either way she was sure it would be good. He was into photography. And so he took a picture of her, the sunlight well illuminating her face with brightness, therefore, justifying her name: Summer. It was Johnny’s favorite time of the year. “All right,” Johnny said, “It’s a deal. Now, don’t freak out; I’m just coming closer.” He gave her a warning. “You ready? Just make your weird face and we’re good to go,” he instructed her, making Dwayne Johnson’s signature eye-brow raise and waiting for Summer. The play by play as he came closer to her only made her giggle. ''Yeah, its fine no worries." she said assuring him.
Their cheeks touched and Johnny held the camera a few inches in front of them, taking a guess at which point the shot would cover both of their faces clearly, without any fuss. Summer stuck her tongue out at the camera while Johnny did the Dwayne Johnson’s eye brow raise, ready to be photographed. He thought Summer looked very cute; not a lot of teens were this bubbly, humorous and fun-loving. His left hand was poised with the camera steadily and one touch would do it. With a slight touch of his finger, he took the picture, minus the flash, of course. So it was all done, and Johnny got back to his initial stance, his backpack slung over his one shoulder as he put his phone back into the pocket. “So,” Johnny said, looking at Summer. “Where are you headed?” he asked out of curiosity. If she were going to a class, it sounded like a good idea that he walk her to the class, have a little talk on the way. Anything sounded good. His tummy growled real silently, and Johnny winced, turning away from her. It was as if he was having a telepathic conversation with his growling, hungry tummy. “Hey, have you had breakfast yet?” He asked, hoping she didn’t so that they could eat together.

The idea had obvioulsy struck him in some way, becuse well he seemed like he was considering it which made her smirk a little. She observed the fountain and then put Johnny in it with her eyes and well she couldn't help but be amused with the thought. His voice sent her back to a sense of reality and well her thoughts were cleared up because the dude made some very valid points. An eight pack? That made her raise a brow. That would take some patience, and some serious drive. Though, it would be very attractive she would have to admit. "Yeah, well in that case I take back my offer because if all these girls come over here, well I'll be at a loss." she said speaking honestly. He'd be distracted with his attention and well she'd pry get pushed out of the way and well it was more of a mess then she wanted right now. "Maybe, the offer will stand some other time." she said with the same smirk she had on the whole time.
The silence kind of set in there for a second and well it was on to new topics. Though, Barney from the wonderful channel of CBS was still about. He looked like he was confused when she said phone five. Bareny was always asking Ted for phone fives. It was like a religious thing for the dude "You don't know what a phone five is do you?'' she asked rhetorically. This would mean she would get to explian. "See when Barney and Ted are on the phone Barney always ends up asking for a phone five and Ted ends up like not really doing it and well Barney drags it out..I forget what season its in or if its in all of them I just remember it, because I always hang up giving someone a phone five." she said with a nod. She would do that too if the person actually knew what she was talking about.
Summer studied him when he figured that she could pick locks. She had changed sense that day and age being rebellious, because what kid wasn't? Or didn't like the thought. Sure, she could still do it. In fact she locked her keys in the room the other day and picked her lock so she could go get them. Sure, it wasn't extravagant but sometimes it was a good skill to have. She wondered what he was thinking. If that put her differently in his eyes now. Though she just kind of rolled with it. Summer may be bubbly but everyon had a bit of a dark side no? She wouldn't call it dark, but she'd call it a thrill. It had been such a rush for her. It was weird, but she loved that high feeling. It made her grin a little thinking of it.
The whole look he had going she could see him being the type to do the deeds a few times himself. That would be kind of bad, but she wouldn't have pinpointed it if he hadn't mentioned it! She wouldn't have thought about it. Stealing things hadn't been her high point, but hey she did what she did and it was in the past. She had a more serious life ahead of her. The question though it made her think. "I guess it was a rebellious phase and it gave me a rush...plus I just had become really good at it and well." she shrugged. The reasoning was lame, but she really didn't have anything forcing her. "I wasn't hurting anyone by doing it, and I got to see a lot of cool shit." she said with a shrug. Would that be efficient for him?
The whole word thing she could tell it was goin to be said often between the two of them and she liked it. It gave hera sense of home. She missed home, but she loved it here. The sights, she got to do what she loved, she met new people. It was great! She would get to experience a lot more here then the school she had went to in l.a. and the experience was part of the journey. There was more distractions in l.a. opposed to here. Sure, there were some here, but she was more independent. She could buckle down! It gave her a sense of pride. Her talent in batting lashes made her smile when he said he had been working on stuff on the acoustic guitar. Regardless of what it was Summer wanted to hear it. "I'm sure my ears will love it." she said with a nod. "Oh an I'll love it too.". Summer liked a lot of different things when it came to music she didn't listen to any one thing. A lot of stuff appeased her though classics were her favorite
[/b]. Hollywood, was a tough place and a tough crowd and everyone didn't want to get sucked into the crap, but somehow they ended up doing so. Summer had put a lot of thought into it. It could happen to her she wasn't going to lie, but she promised herself if it ever got to a certain point she'd quit acting and get a desk job. She didn't want to be fake she didn't want the drama. Rumors and facts were different. When she started losing touch with herself she knew it wouldn't be her thing. Sure, she wanted the fame, but she wanted to be herself doing it. She listene to his tone and it made her smile. He was such a sweetheart. ''I'd quit...as much as I loove acting if I can't be who I am...then why would I want to do something...I have the body image I want and I'm one of those people that won't want to conform sure everyone says that, but Im more true to myself then that.'' she said honestly. ''I won't buy into the crap." she said shaking her head. She was firm on her views. The whole picture scandal..thing was really making Summer fee warm. Maybe, she should take one too? Wouldn't that be fair. She would do it after him of course, and she'd get him to send her the picture of the two of them. He was her second friend thus far. Well, Aspen being her first in the common room, but they hadn't taken pictures. It just made Summer feel so much better. Her eyes kind of sparkled because of it. She truely felt like Summer as the sunlight ray's glowed down on her on her skin. It made for a lovely day. The photo was bound to be a keeper, because well i was them. That was a little bit of a lame thought, but any random picture would be totally awesome. Once he pulled the phone down and looked at it. She caught a peek. "You should send that to me so I have your number." she said with a small shrug. "You know just in case I want it for a photoshoot or somethig." she joked knowing she'd want it so the twoteens could hang out again. Not that they were done hanging out now, but it was just the gyst of the idea. "I was going to a musical theatre practice, but it was optional." she said and heard the rumble. The mention of breakfast made hers growl a little bit. "No." she pouted jokingly. "See what you started!" she teased. "So breakfast?" then she said reassuring his thought. Johnny could not miss making the observation that Summer was in deep thought, subsequent to suggesting that he swim in the fountain pool. She was probably going through a stage imagination; imagining Johnny topless in the pool. His voice sent her back to a sense of reality. An eight pack? That made her raise a brow. "Yeah, well in that case I take back my offer because if all these girls come over here, well I'll be at a loss." she said speaking honestly. Johnny nodded, agreeing with her statement and as if he were saying, ‘See what I mean?’. "Maybe, the offer will stand some other time." she said with the same smirk she had on the whole time. That other time, Johnny’s instinct told him, would probably never come, and it was pretty obvious she was kidding all along. “Some other time,” Johnny repeated with a slight smirk on his face. It was nice to play along, Johnny had learned, it didn’t hurt anyone.
A brief period of silence was filled in with new, funnier topics. The topic switched next on to was a womanizing character from CBS’s How I Met Your Mother, Barney Stinson. Johnny exhibited a puzzling look when Summer mentioned about phone five. Unfortunately, Johnny could not remember where he had come across this, or when, for that matter. He watched a lot of TV shows, a wide ranging genre from the funniest sitcoms to the gore violent stuff. He forgot a lot of rituals characters did. "You don't know what a phone five is do you?'' she asked rhetorically. Johnny quickly said, “Not at all.” Summer went on to explain, "See when Barney and Ted are on the phone Barney always ends up asking for a phone five and Ted ends up like not really doing it and well Barney drags it out..I forget what season its in or if its in all of them I just remember it, because I always hang up giving someone a phone five." she said with a nod. Johnny knew about Barney’s tendencies for high fives and other kind of fives – phone five was something he’d probably forgotten. Now that he remembered it, he acted as if he realized something. “But, we’re not on phone now,” Johnny said. What was the point in a phone five if we weren’t even on phone? Maybe Summer here got the wrong phrase in mind?
Johnny had asked her what forced her into learning stuff like lock picking. "I guess it was a rebellious phase and it gave me a rush...plus I just had become really good at it and well." she shrugged. "I wasn't hurting anyone by doing it, and I got to see a lot of cool shit." she said with a shrug. Johnny was curious now. Every time he picked locks, it was either to plant stuff or just take a look see. He hadn’t picked a lot of locks except of those jock seniors, and he found out nothing else than caps, photos, memorabilia and ticket stubs of important football and basketball games. “What kind of cool stuff?” Johnny asked out of curiosity. He wasn’t in the mood to say ‘shit’ or any other swear word on a beautiful morning.
The phrase with a single word, ‘Word!’, Johnny believed, was pretty often used in California. He even had thoughts if the phrase was started in California but he wasn’t sure. And when Summer said, ‘word’ back at Johnny, he felt that she was from somewhere in California, too. As much as he loved Santa Barbara, he was a bit too scared to go there. Previous events in his childhood instilled fear in him; fear, he knew, that had to be faced. When it was time, he’d go and do the right thing. Johnny then thought how awesome it would be if both Summer and Johnny said, ‘Word’ at the same time in a group conversation. Her talent in batting lashes made her smile when he said he had been working on stuff on the acoustic guitar. Clearly enough, Summer wanted to hear it. "I'm sure my ears will love it." she said with a nod. "Oh an I'll love it too.". Johnny reassured her with a smirk, “I’m pretty sure you will.”
The topic then flowed, and the next thing they knew, Johnny was talking about Hollywood, advising Summer not get succumbed into the drama, the gossip and the lies. Everybody was prosthetic heads, and the situation could not be explained much better than Green Day’s “Prosthetic Head”. If all the people in Hollywood who have had plastic surgery, if they went on vacation, there wouldn't be a person left in town. She listened to his tone and it made her smile. Johnny nodded the whole time he heard her speak. He admired her firmness a lot. “You will probably need help there, Summer,” Johnny spoke, again in a serious tone, “And I’ll be the first to shake a help in hand, I promise.”
The picture he’d taken of him and his new friend together was undoubtedly a keeper. He cursed himself yet again for having forgotten his camera back at the dorm. But the iPhone held decent quality pictures, so it was fine with Johnny for that moment. Once he pulled the phone down and looked at it. She caught a peek. "You should send that to me so I have your number." she said with a small shrug. "You know just in case I want it for a photoshoot or something." she joked.
