why am i so stupid! aurora groaned, thinking to herself about how much she was beginning to dread this project. she always tended to find herself in a situation where she was too over zealous, and set herself up with way more than she could handle. she needed to collect as much information as she could on france during either one of the world wars, compile the information of which ever war had france involved the most, then translate it all to french in one giant, eloquent pastiche.
she was skimming the non-fiction bookshelves, collecting any wwi or wwii book she could find. all this searching brought back nostalgia she did not need anymore. weekends and evenings wasted on trying to write a report that was hardly going to get her anywhere in life. at least the library at bouscher was full of more selections than her tiny vermont collegiate schools had, and made research a hell of a lot easier. of course, there was the internet but teachers rather see their students crack open a book and search and not just type the essay question in the search engine and have all the answers displayed on a platter.
at first, aurora only held two large encyclopedias against her white, floating sundress that fell a little below her knees. when rory walked throughout the halls or along the streets, her dress gave her the seraphic image of an angel floating…whipping and swirling around her knees in a gentle manner as if it was. it wouldn't be the only thing to give aurora a dainty and tender mien, her lower lip was naturally pushed forward in a plump fashion that set off the impression that she was always pouting, but not in sulking manner. (unless she had a fair reason to sulk.) there was nothing harsh about her face, it was smooth and gentle and not the least bit corrupted. of course, though seemingly impressionable, rory possessed enough spunk to allow her to nip back when provoked. generally, she was a wholesome and playful young woman.
but now, rory had enough books to maybe out weigh her. She could peak out from above them easily, but she was slightly unsure on how she would make it back to her table. One foot infront of the other, dummy! she though, taking a step. Aurora was able to crank up a few small steps before a book began to slide off the top and out of impulse Rory went down with it trying to balance it back into place.
"Ouch..." She mewled, face first into a big pile of books, and infront of a small crowd of students. Aurora wasn't sure if she should get up, or just play dead.
