some might say that adam looks like a pipe cleaner. his tall and skinny physique makes him appear far from intimidating. even as a kid he was never able to put on much weight at all. it’s just the way his body works. however, he wasn’t always so tall. in his freshman year of high school he sprung up to his current height of 6’1. his long legs always made him a good runner. in middle school he was even recruited for the track team but he declined. he would much rather be behind a camera lens capturing movement than doing it himself. even though he has some geeky tendencies, many cannot deny that he is good looking. his face has a boyish charm to it and his big hazel eyes complete the package. ever since he was a child he’s had dark circles under his eyes. the doctors told his parents it was some kind of pigmentation disorder, but he never really minded.

since his father filled adam's childhood with lies and infidelity, adam has become dedicated to honesty. however, he's never blunt or cruel, just honest. if a girl asks him how she looks in a dress he'll carefully tell her that it's not flattering without hurting her feelings. and if it does, oh well, nothing he can do. this side of him has gotten him into a bit of trouble over the years when certain people take him the wrong way. he's also never really good at keeping secrets, except for one.

when it comes to his friends and loved ones, adam is one of the most loyal people you'll meet. if someone is bad mouthing a friend he'll immediately step up and tell them off without hesitation. this is one trait that girl's usually appreciate. you'd never find him cheating on someone he's dating. he often looks down upon other people who do such things.

although he's a pretty social guy, adam tends to be a bit introverted when it comes to expressing his emotions. he's afraid to let anyone see what his true feelings are. the most likely reason for this is the incident that changed his life five years ago. at times he can't let anyone touch him, not even breathe on him. but that's only when his memories become too much for him to handle.

one distinct part of adam is his pure artistic nature. he's always seen the world from a different perspective which makes him a wonderful film maker. ever since he was little he's been capturing everything he can in pictures. it's his dream to travel the world and do what he loves. adam is also very gifted at drawing as well, but he considers that to be more of a hobby. lucky for him, bouscher offers many opportunities for young artists like himself.

compared to most teenage guys his age, adam comes off as very mature. you won't see him cracking senseless jokes or being a pain in the ass just for the hell of it. part of it has to do with the fact that he's been the man of the house for many years now. most people appreciate this about them and they trust him with almost anything.

adam is a pretty modest fellow, especially when it comes to his work. he never really brags about it that often and doesn't expect any recognition. some people use this persona as a facade to hide their egos, but he is thoroughly humble.

john summers and andrea beaumont met on a brisk fall day at columbia university. john was studying pre-med while andrea was learning the ropes of business. they were both young and saw in each other everything they thought they had been looking for. john had lived in nyc all his life on the upper east side of manhattan. andrea, however, was on a scholarship from a small town in maine. they each trudged through the extensive work load of an ivy league institution and by the time they graduated they had both landed coveted internships. soon enough, they were engaged.

years passed and eventually they were blessed with a baby boy. they named him adam matthew summers. adam had been john's late grandfather's name. by the time adam was born the couple was extremely successful. john was working his way up the ladder of the medical field at mt. sinai and andrea had gotten a job with the martha stewart bridal company. however, they were both becoming far too busy for their own good. adam had a nanny, but andrea tried to spend as much time with her son as possible.

by the time adam was old enough for school he was enrolled in the best schools money could supply. even then he seemed to be a little more down to earth than his classmates. his teachers began to notice his quick mind and creativity which seemed promising. he loved going to school more than anything. this would continue as his home life began to crumble. when he was eight his father started seeing other women. andrea always had a feeling something like this would happen. the two of them rarely even slept in the same bed anymore. they were entirely too busy. when adam was ten his father moved out for good. no one told him exactly why until he was older. although he wasn't very close with his father it was confusing and sad for him.

it had been decided that adam would see his father on weekends. these visits usually included pizza, movies that neither of them liked very much, and awkward silence. it was in his father's new penthouse that hell emerged for adam. it was a huge place and john often held cocktail parties on the same weekends his son was staying with him. one night a friend of a friend named sean addison found his way into adam's bedroom. he was helpless against the brute strength of this man. it was that night adam lost some of his innocence; he was twelve. it continued to happen for months and adam couldn't find the courage to tell a soul. he was ashamed, afraid, and most of all confused. after awhile he just told him mom that he didn't want to spend weekends there because he missed her. his father didn't really mind at that point and they only saw each other during holidays. the trauma of those months has stayed with adam to this day.

life went on and adam continued his days trying to maintain a normal existence. he found solace in film and often made his way to any park he could to capture the beauty of nature. he had many friends and he appreciated every one of them, but he vowed to himself that he'd never tell anyone what happened. once he entered bouscher life made a different turn. now in his fourth year he hopes to finally get somewhere with his work and maybe even find someone to inspire him.
