sixty years after the battle of hogwarts, the muggle world rockets into the future, while the wizarding world clings to its traditions. it is a time of change and political discord, complicated by deaths and resignations.
should the magical world accept a recent push for more modernization and acceptance of muggle science, or hold fast their unique traditions? should they continue to ban all dark arts, as they have since voldemort's fall, or accept a theory of moderation and balance?
at the end of the last term, the previous headmistress of hogwarts died under suspicious circumstances. concerned for their safety, many hogwarts professors handed in their resignations, and many students were withdrawn. the new headmaster, supported by the minister of magic, was determined to restore hogwarts to its past glory, and to make it a bastion of safety in a dangerous world.
but halfway through the school year the headmaster was forced into early retirement and in the same week the minister died. the dark forces that had ever been on the fringes were withdrawn and the village of hogsmeade is peaceful once again. a young and reluctant headmistress has now taken the reins at the castle and it desperately trying to restore the school to what it once was and should be.
is all as safe as it seems or is it simply the calm before the storm?
