The island was big to her because she was only one girl and could only fit in so many things to see at one time. The sights were thoroughly wonderful. There was so many pictures on her phone and in her digital camrea. She was really going to have a blast sharing this with the people back in los angeles. The experience couldn't be relived through the photo's, but everyone would be able to see the light brought to life in Summer through them. A lot of her friends were super jealous and wished they could get into a school like this. Move to a place like this. It really seemed perfect. Everyone she met so far had been super nice. She hadn't met anyone that was dull, but at a performing arts school who would be dull?
The peace and serenity. It was like her paradise. The girl was fun loving and she totally fit this place and it fit her. Well, to an extent. She walked up upon the sharks taco shack and smirked. She was hungry! Something someone would never know is that she ate a lot but her physical fitness was very important to her. She made up for it by working it off. Walking up she placed her order and then looked around. She bit her lip when she didn't see any open seats except one with this boy like all alone. He looked like someon she might have caught a glimpse of on campus. If not well her bubbly personality would make up for the mistake. She went over wearing a smile. "You mind if I maybe crash your table?" she asked politelly. She hoped he wouldn't.
The boy's dark brown hair and attire everything about him just made her feel at ease. She wasn't worried about sitting with some creap for that matter. Plus, if he said no she could always bug someone else. Some people weren't alway so nice, but she tried too hard sometimes to be nice to everyone and talk to as many people as she possible could?! It was rather enticing. The weather was decent so she put on one of he favorite dresses gathered her bag she had been obsessed with. Picked up he iphone and well that had been the start of her day up until this point where she was going to strike up a conversation with someone random. It was rather exciting all of it.

a taco stand? mattie did like tacos but he just didn't understand this at all. why have a shark? what did sharks have to do with tacos? absolutely nothing.. but then come to think of it, the taco bell dog didn't make too much sense either. it was just the use of a mascot and animals seemed like an easy thing to use. so maybe it wasn't quite as crazy an idea as he had thought but it didn't stop him starting at it for a minute.
finally at the front, mattie ordered his meal and drink. having paid for it, he took the tray over to an empty table and sat down. tacos, a messy meal to eat and definitely not one you could eat and look refined and proper. no, tacos were good like that, you just pick it up, shove it in your mouth and chew.
mattie had lived a life where it was etiquette and behaving well was important so letting loose and just relaxing was a nice break in between all of that. still, he didn't want to risk making a mess so instead he just crushed it all up and ate it bit by bit with a fork. it just made more sense to him to do it that way.
mattie glanced up as the girl approached. "not at all," he said, gesturing to the seat. it was a big table, she could sit there if she wanted to. he was sure he had seen the girl around school and although sitting in silence was a valid option, mattie figured he'd try being friendly instead.
"do you go to the school? i think i have seen you around," he told her, the french accent clear in his words. at least this time he hadn't thrown in any actual french, at least not yet.

Though, the whole shark taco stand had her kind of skeptical she decided that if it was bad she could just deal with not eating. She had gone before without eating. Though she loved food it wasn't the most important thing in the world to her. She took a sip of her drink through the straw. It was good soda pop. She looked around at the sights around the stand and at he stand itself she took a picture of it and sent it to her best friend or one of them named Aimee. Shark taco? and he laughed at the response like a couple moments later. Thats a different kind of feeling for your taco's Summer.
That was so hightly inappropriate. Her friends were just as dorky as her sometimes and a little more sick minded. Finally after searching for a table and giving up and going over to Mathis's table. He told her to go for it and she took a seat tucking her dress in under her as she did so. She didn't need her butt sticking out. "Thank you." she said politely and he asked her if she went to the school. She smiled widely. "I'm guilty and I know I've seen you before." she said hearing his French accent. It was lovely.
"My name is Summer." she said extending her hand for a shake. Well, he was nice enough to let her sit here why shouldn't he knoew her name? It was rather exciting another new possible friend! He was cute too, but she wasn't looking for that she didn't believe in it. She just loved meeting new people.

mattie just smiled at the thanks. it wasn't his place to deny someone a seat, especially since she looked nothing like a crazy axe murderer. some company would be nice after all, mattie had nothing against that.
mattie just nodded. he knew he had to be right. he was good with faces, or at least better than most. it came from years of needing to know who people were at those fancy events he had to go to. it was usually boring and everyone there were at least his parents age or usually older.
the moreau's had lovely, well behaved children though so they took to showing them off to business associates and friends. it seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do and if mattie was to be completely honest he's say he never really minded it so much.
"good to know i didn't simply imagine it," mattie said with a smile. at least it wasn't like he was some weird stalker who noticed her and she didn't even recognize him. that was a risk of course but he had said it anyway.
"mattie," he told her as he reached out and shook her hand. she seemed like a friendly person so why not talk to her? "so what course are you doing?" he asked. she looked like the performance arts type but mattie wasn't going to assume anything, he would simply wait to hear the facts.

if someone randomly came to sit with summer she would pry been a little skeptical at first, but eventually her fun loving personality would set int and she would tell them they couldn't take a seat, but they could perhaps sit on it because t wasn't her place to tell someone they could take a seat at the restraunt. she didn't own them. it was pry like one of the lamest jokes in the book, but she thought it was funny. it made her giggle a little to herself. she smiled slightly after that and shook her head at herself.
the boy was really polite, well what she saw from this point in time. her mother would love to meet how polite these boys were here it was like it was unreal and they all looked like gods or something. so did the girls. summer almost felt like she didn't fit in. she knew she was pretty, but she never flaunted that fact, but at the same time she just felt thrown off by it even though it was a school of arts. they were bound to be hot.
or maybe you ddi maybe im a compolsive liar. she said with a shrug as she picked up her taco and took a bite. it tasted really really good in her opinion, but a lot of things tasted good when you were hungry. nice to meet you mattie she said and she took a small drink of her soda when he asked her what her major was. im a theatre major she said with a small nod covering her mouth and clearing her teeth with her toungue to make sure there was nothing in her teeth

mattie's smile broadened into a grin. "you have a sense of humor, good. you'll need it," he said. being able to laugh at things was always a useful trait to have. taking things to seriously never ended well as far as mattie knew. it often led to drama and a whole list of trouble that one might prefer to avoid. he hadn't found himself in that position yet but mattie wasn't the sort of person to get too deep in a situation and end up with a bunch of drama at his door step.
the only thing he really took seriously was his work but that was only because he had to keep his grades up. mattie would usually set pretty high standards for himself but lately things had gotten a lot easier. he could do less and still be at the same high level he expected from himself. he thought it might have something to do with the fact that he was in his third year now and he knew how the professors worked and how to get things done more efficiently.
sticking his fork into his meal, mattie took another bite. it was a lot easier to eat it like this. mattie never really like foods that would get too messy. like subway! as healthy as they claimed to be, he would never go there. they stuffed it so full of stuff that it made it impossible to take a bite without getting food all over your face. that was not a good look for him.
"nice to meet you too summer," he said with a smile before getting himself another fork full of mashed up taco. "i thought you would be," mattie admitted. "i'm doing film," he told her. the film students and the theater ones usually interacted fairly often. it was good to know them when you had a film to do and need actors who would do it for free just for something extra to add to their resumes.
besides, mattie was certain he was going to be a director one day and he was going to get famous and he damned good at his job so knowing a few good actors couldn't hurt.

she watched as a grin crossed his face and he said something about having a sense of humor. summer had a wonderufl sense of humor. though she knew when to take things seriously as well. she was mostly serious about acting, family, friends, and about her own being. that was some of the things that she was true to. if that meant drama then she would more then likely roll with the punches. if someone didn't like her she tended not to care unless the person got in her face.
summer was a second year drama student or theatre student if you will. it was her passion and you couldn't really get more serious at times. that was her strong point. she knew when to like buckle down. she didn't let her random crazy way of living life get in the way of what she wanted. she was currently working on adding more things to her portfolio. it was very exciting. she couldn't wait though to make it big time. no one could, but that was just hers.
summer could handle just about any food messy clean. though he had the right idea, because she was wearing a white dress. be right back. she said going over and getting a fork from the side where they kept the things. then she walked back over to the table and sat down. white dresses and taco's don't mesh" she said and copied him, but only for good reason.
she smiled again when he said it was nice to meet her and then he pegged her for the type to be interested in theatre. was it planted on her face? how exciting..." she said when he mentioned he was doing film. "any particular films inspire you she asked curiously. she was trying to get a feel for what he was actually interested in the whole film world.

mattie just smiled when she ran off to get a fork. "doesn't work so well for a white shirt either," he told her. his white buttoned shirt was a stable in his fashion diet. mattie like to keep it simple but classy and buttoned shirts and a nice pair of pants were usually necessary for this.
mattie didn't exactly go around profiling people. it wasn't like he looked at anyone who went by and immediately put them into a category. it was just a hunch that turned out to be right. the girl seemed friendly and out-going and to him that just screamed theater major.
"it can be," mattie admitted. there was hardly ever a dull moment in film. something always needed to get done and something always goes wrong at the last minute. exciting pretty much covered it along with infuriating, frustrating, crazy and just plain amazing. mattie loved what he did. it was a passion, it was what he enjoyed most so of course he would take pride in his work and always strive to do the best job he can.
"i get asked that question so often," mattie told her with a smile. "and i don't have an answer. simply because there are just too many good films around," he explained. he just wanted to one day be able to make something that would be remembered many years later. that was the goal he was reaching for. notoriety and fame would come later but for now, he wanted to do something not just good but great.

Summer looked at the boys attire and nodded a little bit. Too shay too shay was all she had to say as she forked some food over and on into her mouth. Hey she was happy he was happy and their shirts or white attire stayed clean. Why does it have to be so messy, but so darn good? she asked rhetorically.
She was curious to as how he knew about her being in the theatre program. Had it been a lucky guess or had he just been watching her a lot longer then she thought? Those thoughts were creepy! He didn’t look nor sound like that kind of guy, but some people you just didn’t know. Pry a guess.
What have you shot so far I mean here. she offered to keep up the conversation. She was kind of curious though to what kind of stuff they were working on in their films classes. Theatre majors sometimes kind of worked in their films and it was a win win for both parties. They both got the experience they really needed.
Yeah, sorry I didn’t really pull an original question out of my imaginary hat... she said pulling the next question jokingly. What brings you out by yourself? she asked. Sure she was by herself but she was rather new. She was just curious and keeping talking like she usually did. She was just so darn good at it.

Mattie just shook his head and laughed a little at her words. "I still think it's funny how people still use French words like that and sometimes they even use it wrong," he told her. It was funny to him how something from fencing could have caught on so easily like that and filtered into regular every day language. It was out of context though and a lot of people didn't use it right but it was still funny to him.
Taking another bite, Mattie smiled at her words. She definitely had a good point there. "The food companies are evil," he told her. "They do this all the time. The messier the food, the better it will taste," he told her. Yes, it was most definitely just one big conspiracy, he had no doubt about that.
Mattie just shrugged at her question. "Just a few short films nothing too interesting," he told her. "One of the best ones I've done was also one of the worse so that one is perhaps the most memorable of all," he said, remembering it. It was the one film he was never going to forget doing. It had been his first and it was badly done but it was so much fun and it actually turned out pretty great. If she wanted more information he would gladly tell her but otherwise, Mattie wouldn't bore her with the details.
Again Mattie just shrugged and said, "I don't know." He looked around for a moment before giving her a proper answer. "It's a nice day and I wanted some tacos so I am here," he told her with a smile, and it was truly as simple as that. He had some friends but nothing major going on so Mattie was perfectly find being out on his own.
