Late into the night, and it didn't matter whether there was school or work the next day anyway. At least, not for the frequent patrons od o'day's all hours pub, who were busy with conversation and drinking and watching whatever sports game was playing on a muted screen. This place was quite low key, and it had been a whiloe since Evangeline had visited a bar like this. She usually frequented whatever establishment her uncle's band, The Pretty Reckless, was performing at, and lately they'd had steady giga at the local night club. However, getting the chance to perform acoustically in a place like this was a nice change of pace, and she knew her uncle Ben agreed as well as he brought up his guitar onto his lap.
Their other band mates, Mark and Jamie, were setting up behind them, Mark plugging in his bass and Jamie normally played drums, but only a single bongo drum was needed for the first number, then the next songs would be performed by Evangeline and her uncle and that would be it. It was a short gig, but it payed, so it didn't really matter all that much. Evangeline was currently a bit drained of energy. Normally she wouldn't already be yawning at midnight, but she'd stayed up all of last night studying. While she was a first year student at Bouscher Academy, she didn't really aspire to go into the music business. She would enter into a University once she was done boding her time here on Ehu island and would study to get into medical school, and years into the future she would have her Md and would own a successful practice. For now... with both school and her uncle's band, she was just killing time. No harm in that, right?
Finally, they were all set up for their show. So Evangeline made sure the microphone was at the right height, and she spoke into it. "Hi. I'm Evangeline and we're The Pretty Reckless. Out first song tonight is a cover by Cee Lo Green, and it's called 'Forget You'."
With that, Jamie started on the bongo drum, then her uncle Ben followed on his acoustic guitar, Mark picked up on the bass, and they were on their way. "I see you drive around town With the girl I love. And I'm like, 'Forget you'. I guess the change in my pocket Just wasn't enough And I'm like, 'Forget you And forget her too'." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - none other than théodore henri couture sat at the bar of o'day's pub, drinking a scotch on the rocks. arizona cassaway had allegedly done something to théodore at mardi gras, according to scarlett scandal's blog. oddly enough, scarlett scandal had no idea that théodore couture had been spending his days at the corner of the bar of o'day's pub, sometimes getting in brawls just for the hell of it. though a suitable shower was only minutes away on the bouscher academy campus, théodore had resolved his hygiene problem by wiping his body down in the bathroom of the pub and, every few days, using the sink and hand soap to wash his hair. shaving was no longer an option for théodore, and he embraced it. the five o' clock shadow on his face was very apparent and he had the messy beginnings of looking like a slightly lighter haired version of zach galifianakis. when it was time to sleep, théodore curled up in a booth in the corner. by this point, he was quite used to the noise of the establishment when he shut his eyes. théodore had gotten quite acquainted with the bartenders and other staff at the pub, too. after fourteen days and nights of not leaving the pub, people get to know you. they had always shown concern for théodore. one of the waitresses at the bar had kindly bought him a toothbrush and toothpaste one day, and some others asked him about where he lived, or what he planned to do when he ran out of money. théodore downed his scotch, signaling for the bartender to get him another.
"hi. i'm evangeline and we're the pretty reckless. our first song tonight is a cover by cee lo green, and it's called 'forget you'."
théodore turned his attention from counting the bottles of liquor behind the counter for the sixth time to the band on stage of o'day's. he loved watching music that played here. the pub received such a unique stream of musicians who played all sorts of different genres. comedy night in the pub was normally terrible, but he loved the open mic nights and especially loved the nights where bands like this played. listening to music was so soulful for théodore. he missed his guitar, but really he missed nothing else about bouscher academy. it was only streets away, but he had no intention of going back soon. first, he wanted to figure out who he was. as if he was going to figure that out spending his days in a pub. everything at the school was just so overwhelming. dating kennis was overwhelming. not being able to write songs was overwhelming. feeling boring was overwhelming. listening to bands like the one on stage was relaxing. this band had a pair of bongoes and an acoustic guitar. with slouched shoulders, the shaggy brunet drunkenly swayed too and fro in the corner of o'day's pub.

come away with innocence & leave me with my sins,
[/sub] party rounds around the bars - a must-do when you've moved to a new town. sebastian had of course been to every bar in the island within the first week he'd moved, and he'd picked up a few favorites too. o'day's all hours pub was one of those that had left an impression on him, because as a music student he was willing to sit out and listen to new performers take the stage. it was the perfect place to check out the talent in the city, and he was ready to go about it as an agent would - some might say he was obsessive because he wanted to play out every role perfectly, but the 'some' had to get to know that he was playing first. for as long as he could remember he'd worn a mask that perfectly shielded him from the outside - and shielded him from himself, too. he knew there was a darker side to him, but up until now he'd left that side unexplored. as he signaled for a beer at the barman, he heard the music start to play, and as he carefully counted out his money and laid it on the counter, he took in the girl's throaty vocals and the bands synchronized playing. the music wasn't to his taste, but what they weren't terrible, that was for sure. for a little isolated island, the island home many secret talents. and sometimes the island was unlucky enough to get the worst of luck - him, for example. stepping back, he glanced at the stage, at the petite blond who was singing the song. she was pretty, the type that would probably catch his eye on the road. strangely exotic-looking, not bad for a lead singer. she drew people's attention, that much he could gather from the way people were scrutinizing her. even the drunken hobo at the corner of the bar seemed mesmerized by her. a drunken hobo - now that seemed out of place. and out of place was interesting to sebastian, who unabashedly continued to return the guy the same courtesy he was showing the singing girl on stage - staring at him. perhaps when the song was over, he would go over and say hi. ”I said, if I was richer, I’d still be with ya. Ha, now ain't that some shh (ain't that some shh) And although there's pain in my chest I still wish you the best with and uh.. Forget you!”
The song ended before she knew it, and the instruments went silence the same time Evangeline’s voice did. For a simple cover, it was one that she actually happened to like performing quite a bit. Once it was over, the patrons that had been watching or listening to her performing applauded the band, and while Mark and Jamie packed up their instruments behind her and her uncle Ben, she spoke into the microphone, addressing the small audience once again. ”Thanks, you guys. Okay, this next one is one of our originals, and it’s called, ‘Make me wanna die’. This song was one of the two songs that was first performed the very first time she went up on stage as the headliner of The Pretty Reckless. She’d been at a cafe in Kendrick with her Uncle Ben, doing a couple acoustic numbers. The first song that was performed that day had been one Evangeline mainly wrote, and then it was edited and put to music with all the band members. The one they were about to put on now, it had been written the night before when the muse struck the four of them, and it happened to turn out pretty well. It was one of her favourites. Her uncle started on the guitar, and Evangeline quickly adjusted the microphone so it could reach her a bit better. While this song was quite entertaining to perform with the entire band in a more lively setting, the acoustic version done with just her Uncle was also quite enjoyable. One thing about Evangeline was that she may seem pretty lively when she was performing bigger gigs with the band, at low key shows like this, as well as the rest of the time she’s with people, she had the tendency not to show any kind of emotion whatsoever to the people around her. It wasn’t because of some kind of trauma in her life, or some kind of brain defect, as a lot of people chose to believe. That was just who she was, and who she’d always been. To her, emotion was slightly overrated. As the song began, she had one hand on the microphone stand, and began to sing. Take me, I’m alive Never was a girl with a wicked mind But everything looks better when the sun goes down... I had everything, Oppertunities for eternity And I could belong to the night...”Her eyes glanced up, and since this wasn’t the kind of establishment to have a spotlight that would blind her, she could see the faces of people that were watching her and her uncle. There wasn’t a large amount of people here, but there didn’t seem to be anybody too disgusting staring back at her, so that was a relief... [/blockquote][/blockquote]
