ramilda is an average sized girl, a little on the thin side, from belgium. she has whispy dark blonde hair that never gets brushed. her eyebrows are thick and dark, setting the perfect stage for her light blue-green eyes. beneath the stars her high roman cheekbones sit, their apples red. her lips are plush and often slathered in lipgloss or tinted chapstick. ramilda has a romantic air about her face; the wind always seems to be blowing through her hair. she dresses a bit scrubby though. often like a boy, and often like a child.

ramilda is a free spirit. clear as day. she doesn't follow rules, aside from peer pressure (which is only a disadvantage of being in the midst of those beautiful teenage years.) ramilda has so few inhibitions that it appears she has no social manners at all sometimes. she's often a little too grody, a little too crude, and a little too open.
ramilda is terrible at keeping secrets. while a loyal friend in every other sense, she truly cannot be trusted with anything too heavy. she confronts the world as a handfull of bestfriends, believing everyone she meets is honest and good. one day, it all may catch up to her and someone could mean enough to hurt her and crack the shell of ideals ramilda has wrapped tightly around herself.
ironically, ramilda keeps a lot of secrets herself. she tells everyone about her sex life and her bowel movements and the tragedies she encounters, and she shamelessly voices her feelings even at inappropriate times. but then, ramilda keeps all of her work to herself until it is absolutely perfect enough for her to boldly strive for its publication or performance.
ramilda, above all, likes a challenge and likes to have fun. she travels as much as she can and dreams of biking through india building schools and promoting the work of children's theatre. ramilda's heart lies on the shores of ehu island because it's such a thrilling and fantastical place where fun and adventure are around every corner. her best friends, chuchie and doe, exemplify the kind of living ramilda likes -- livin' it up. nothing can stop ramilda when she gets a spontaneous, and often irrational, plan for danger and fun into her little head. it is both her best and worse attribute.

ramilda jane matsen was born to philippe and darletta matsen on november 7th, 1992 in brussels, belgium. on a sunday evening she arrived, the first overdue child of her parents. ramilda's parents were the nerdy type, both professors at the university since the day of her birth. she grew up in lovely belgium and visited france and germany frequently as a young girl. ramilda was blessed with the allowance of an open mind and a free spirit from a very young age. she quickly developed a passion for theatre work and play writing.
as ramilda grew up and into her teenage years, however, she learned that she freedoms she'd been blessed with as a young girl was just a pretty version of neglect. with professors dedicated more to their research than raising their daughter, what could one expect? she began traveling family vacations alone at the age of twelve, spending more time with host families than her own. it was this lack of attention and lack of growth in her home environment that led ramilda to apply to bouscher academy of the arts after turning sixteen.
ramilda arrived on ehu island a year ago, in the middle of july. almost fresh off the boat, she met two girls her age, eulaline and kennis, whom she instantly and gratefully bonded with. they more familiar with the island than she, took her under their wing and spread the love. the three caused mayhem all of last year and very well plan to continue the escapades into this year. ramilda is too embarrassed to bring them to brussels.
